public safety
The Issue:
common sense gun laws.

I will strongly support measures in the state house to reinstate permit and training requirements for gun purchases because the safety and well-being of our communities depend on responsible gun ownership.
Jeff bradley
Jeff Bradley supports “constitutional carry” meaning that anyone 18+ can buy a gun without a permit or required training before the gun purchase.
my take.
With guns being the leading cause of death for children in the nation and South Carolina having the 6th highest gun violence rate in the nation, placing guns in the hands of teenagers with no training and no permit doesn’t pass the commonsense test
H. 3594, which is now law, was not supported by law enforcement because it makes it harder for police to know if a gun was obtained legally and makes it easier for guns to fall into the hands of those who pose a threat to public safety.
It makes even less sense that Jeff Bradley voted to require certification and training to drive a boat/watercraft (Bill S.96) yet did not apply the same requirements to own a gun. Why is it easier to buy a gun than drive a car in our state?
